Dupuis Construction served as general contractor in building this contemporary style home in the Chimney Hill development for the DeCarlo family in Wilmington, Vermont.
The Decarlo ski home is a contemporary style house in the popular Chimney Hill development in Wilmington, VT. The owner, himself a developer from New Jersey, wanted to build a new home that matches the style of other houses in the development, most of which were constructed in 1970s and 1980s. The new DeCarlo residence unarguably fits right in with the others, but now includes all the modern features you would expect in the 21st century.
The modern rustic feel of the interior is extremely popular in today’s market. Since he is in the business, the owner had high expectations, and we’re proud to say that we were able to meet them all.
You can see the attention to detail in every room. The kitchen features beautiful white Shaker cabinets with concrete countertops and stainless steel appliances. The island off the kitchen is accented with real barn board. All of the bathrooms include custom tile showers and frameless shower doors.The fireplace emits an old world feeling, with a real stone surround and vertical barn board hanging above the hand hewn mantle. The exterior of the home features all wood siding, contemporary style garage doors, and a large rear cedar deck with stainless steel cable railings.
