Project
Corriveau Residence
Dupuis Construction served as general contractor in building this beautiful timber frame home in Wilmington, Vermont.
The Corriveau Residence is a unique timber frame log home located in Wilmington, Vermont, near the Hermitage Club. The exterior really is a thing of beauty. Four tall debarked cedar trees stand guard on real stone pillars, froaming the incredible timber frame carport. We used skirl cedar siding throughout the exterior of the home to give it a very unique look. A large, heated four-season room gives the family plenty of space along and the home also features a large rear deck and master balcony. We also built a detached 2-car garage where the owners can store their summer and winter toys.
Energy efficiency was a priority in this project! The entire home has Energy Star Kensington windows and high R-structural insulated panels, which enclose the home. We also installed a high-efficiency, propane-fired HVAC system.
The interior features modern rustic finishes including a mix of distressed white and natural maple cabinetry with a stone veneered island and honed granite countertops. Handscraped maple wood flooring complements the open log timber frame structure of the interior. The custom thin stone fireplace surround anchors the main living area. The bathrooms are finished with custom tile and the master bedroom has a luxurious steam shower. No expense was spared in finishing the amazing home!
