Project

Carinthia Pump House

Dupuis Construction served as the general contractor in building the Main Pumphouse for all snowmaking at Mount Snow.

Located at the foot of the Carinthia Slopes, this custom-built structure was designed to look and feel like a traditional Vermont barn. Because of its high visibility to the public, it was extremely important to build a structure that matched the landscape in southern Vermont. The Pumphouse houses all of the ski resort’s pumping equipment, which sends water from Mount Snow’s New West Lake uphill to make snow at an impressive rate of 11,800 gallons per minute. The building also serves as the offices and garage for the Carinthia Park crew.
