Carinthia Base Lodge

Working largely with other Vermont-based businesses, we build the modern, industrial style, multi-use ski lodge.

This building was designed for energy-efficiency in all areas including:

• Full building lighting control system, interior and exterior

• High-efficiency heating and cooling system

• Energy recovery ventilation (ERV) system to ensure fresh air in the building and to eliminate condensation

• Closed cell foam insulation between the framing, with continuous exterior insulation to create an airtight building envelope.

This complex commercial construction project included the construction of a restaurant, bar, lounge, retail shop and 9000 square foot patio. We proudly built the following:

 

• Modern Cafeteria - Includes state-of-the-art serving area, kitchen, and large dining area. The dining hall features a completely custom ethanol fireplace, which provides incredible ambiance and comfort heat, with an eco-friendly fuel source.

 

• The Iron Loft - American-style restaurant and full service bar.
   

• High Timber Lounge - 15-seat full-service bar on the main floor with direct access from the slopes. The bar features custom wood wall finishes and a contemporary wall tile countertop to accent the industrial design of the Lodge.
   

• Mount Snow Sports- Retail shop on first floor of the Lodge, selling exclusive Carinthia Gear

9,000 Sq Ft Heated Patio - Massive deck where guests can enjoy the outdoors on a radiant-heated patio designed to melt snow and provide warmth from the feet up. The patio features a large custom gas fire pit and a full service outdoor bar and grill area.
